本研究は，大正10年第一次都市計画事業により架設された，中之島橋梁群の計画・設計に関する研究である。研究では，同事業に関わった主要人物の設計思想を明らかにし，事業コンセプトおよび事実関係との照合を図り，独自のアイデンティティを考察した。都市美形成の萌芽期の最中，景観構成要素として先駆的な役割を果たした中之島橋梁群は，事業コンセプト「変化と調和」のもと「リファインド・シンプリシティー」をはじめとする複数人の設計思想の融合により，単体の橋梁美，周辺環境との調和，都市スケールの三つのヒエラルキーを与えながら，計画・設計が成された。

This study treats identity of planning and design of “NAKANOSHIMA-BRIDGES” constructed based on First Osaka Urban Plan in 1921. This study aims to make clear identity of these bridges by checking ideas of four engineers involved in the central with actual brigdes constracted. Two ideas, “Variety and Harmony” and “Refined Simplicity” fused with ideas of four engineers, were targeted. These ideas were found at major three stand points of planning & design, bridge design itself, and harmony with the surrounding environment and city wide scale.
