Abstract

As the Japanese national economy developed more rapidly, Kunio Yanagita's study became more characterized by a certain tendency, as it can be seen in his "Kyodo-kenkyu"; In this study he not only insisted on the importance of diversification of farmyards in his days as before, but also cast light on their autonomous creative capacity they had before, thus hoping that the rural population would learn from his study to restore their economic independence.
