This study analyzed by intensively reading main literatures while focusing on a study of social organizations in Chinese community in Singapore and clarified its establishment process、 activities and future issues. "Chinese clan associations" were founded for each hometown or kin from the middle of the 19th century in order to support many immigrants from China. Cultural events of their hometown、 religious services、 and the support of the social welfare、 the medical care、 and educational activities were provided there. And the founding of "Chinese clan associations" made many immigrants' lives stable、 and they developed to the point that they formed various networks between China and Singapore. Some "Chinese clan associations" founded schools famous in Singapore、 and they developed to what affected not only educational activities of Chinese residents in Singapore but political activities. On the other hand、 after Singapore became independent in 1965、 it was clarified that the role of "Chinese clan associations" weakened gradually as new government promoted Speak Mandarin Campaign. And it was clarified that many of the youth of Singapore were less concerned about activities of "Chinese clan associations" in recent years、 too. It was paid attention to in the future what kind of influence the education policy of Singapore or southeast Asia has on identity of the youth of Chinese residents and Chinese descents under the globalization.本研究は、シンガポールの華人コミュニティの社会組織の状況を把握するために、主に「華僑会館」を取り上げ、各種文献よりその成立過程と活動内容および今後の課題を明らかにした。その結果「華僑会館」は19世紀、中国大陸から多くの移民者を支援するために、それぞれの出身地や親族ごとに「華僑会館」を設立し、そこで故郷の文化的行事、祭祀、葬祭をはじめ、福祉、医療、教育、就業支援などの相互扶助活動を始めたことが明らかになった。そして「華僑会館」の設立により多くの移民者の生活は安定し、彼ら、彼女らは出身地とシンガポールとの間でさまざまネットワークを形成するまでに発展した。「華僑会館」のなかにはシンガポールで著名な学校や有名企業を創設した組織もあり、その発展は教育活動、経済活動のみならず、政治活動にも影響を与える存在になった。その一方で、1965年にシンガポールが独立すると、新政府が民族融和政策、中国語の標準語教育などの新政策を推し進める過程で、徐々に「華僑会館」の役割は衰退したことが明らかになった。また現在、シンガポールの青少年の多くが、「華僑会館」の活動にあまり関心がないことも明らかになった。今後、グローバル化のなかでシンガポールや東南アジアの教育政策が、華僑・華人の青少年のアイデンティティにどのような影響を与えるか注視された。
