Abstract

現用の気球搭載コマンド受信機は20年前に設計されたもので, 主要な部品の補充も困難となったため, 新しいモデルを開発することとなった。これを機会に導入された新しい機能は, 第一にPCMコマンドを伝送することである。この機能により, コンピュータのRS-232C端子からの出力のようなシリアルのディジタルデータをFSK信号に変換して気球に伝送することが可能となった。従来からのON/OFFコマンドについては, トーンバースト信号方式の導入で, チャンネル数の増大と信頼性の向上を図った。その他, 送出したコマンド項目の記録・管理を含むコマンド関係の情報を全て集中的に表示・管理する地上システムも併せて整備し, 気球コマンドがより利用しやすくなるよう配慮した。

About 20 years have passed since the current model of the balloon telecommand receiver was designed and now it is difficult to get the repair parts. So a new tele-command system has been developed for the substitution of it. Some new functions are introduced to this revised model; these are a PCM command, an extended on/off command and so on. A PCM command can send digital serial data from RS-232C computer terminal toward an onboard computer directly. A conventional ON/OFF command also increases its channel numbers and reliability using a tone-burst modulation method. To verify and log transmitted command information, the command signals are monitored by a computer system for tele-command management. Together with logging of command history, the computer system also processes and displays the telemetry data related to command operation. This new command system is expected to be a useful tool for scientific observations using balloons.
