各種平面ひずみ鍛造および押出加工における材料の内部変形模様を鉛を用いて調べ,第1報において解析的に求めた材料内速度場の適否を比較検討した結果,両者の間に十分よい一致のあることが見出された.

In the present part, the flow patterns on lead billet section during plane strain forging and extrusion processes at room temperature were photographed by the use of an apparatus (Fig. 2. 1. 1) specially constructed for direct and continuous observation of internal flow. Each of the flow patterns thus obtained was compared with the rigid triangle velocity field which had been obtained in Part 1 of the present work as the lowest upper bound velocity field for particular working condition. In almost all cases, their agreements were found fairly well. The discrepancies existed between them might be attributed to the actual work-hardenability of the lead billet and the actual imperfect 'smooth' and 'dry' conditions on the boundary surface between work tool and billet, which had not been accounted for in analysis. Any reliable experimental data on the working pressure was not obtained because of the large friction between sliding die and its guide groove of the experimental apparatus.
