説明
Enzo Kagura (a traditional theatrical dance in the Shinto religion) is one of the Jindai Kagura that has been passed down to the southern part of Kanagawa prefecture where the shrines of the Hachiman and Goryo as worshiped as a purification among local people. This folk performing art was conducted in these shrines by Takahashi Taigoro, a Kagura master from Enzo district of Chigasaki City. In this paper, focusing on Enzo Kagura at the shrine festivals around this area and clarifying the transformation of folk performing arts in the local community, I will examine the relationship between this Kagura and "Hamakudari" (purification with the shrine for sea and river) and how they played complementarily together.
