Abstract

頸動脈内膜剥離術（CEA：carotid endarterectomy）の実際について，合併症を防止するための手技上の要点について述べる．本邦ではpatch angioplastyを行うことは希ではあるが，その手技について解説する.

Surgical techniques to avoid complications after carotid endarterectomy (CEA), including patch angioplasty, are described. Perioperative monitoring to detect cerebral ischemia, complete removal of the atherosclerotic plaque, and secure closure of the arteriotomy are key points during the procedure. CEA under an operative microscope is recommended to achieve good surgical results.
