全学英語教育科(現人間力創成総合教育センター・語学教育プログラム)では、2011(平成23)年度から2017(平成29)年度の7年間にわたって、当初策定した基本方針に従った教育を実践すると同時に、共通テストの実施を通して内容・成果の検証を行い、その結果を本誌で公表してきた。そして2018(平成30)年度からは、検証結果を踏まえ改訂版の共通テスト(到達度確認テストおよび語彙テスト)を実施することになった。本稿では、共通テストの結果の検討、フレッシュマンテストと実力テストの結果の比較を通して見た学力の変化、共通テストの結果とフレッシュマンテストおよび実力テストの結果との相関に焦点を当てながら、今回の改定について検討したい。

When comprehensive curriculum revision was made in 2011 for General Education in Chubu University, the division of English Education(the present Global Education Center, Language Program)established a new educational policy and has been providing education based on it. In 2018, we reported in this journal a summary and assessment of the results of the education in 2011-2017 as measured by the achievement test, the freshman test, and the proficiency test. In the last year of this period, that is, in 2017, we revised the achievement test and started using the new version in 2018. In this article, we report the results of the English education in 2018, with special reference to the results of the new achievement test in comparison with those of the previous versions.
