1)著者等(1955)は長崎市内の一古井戸からCulex pipiens molestusを発見したが本種の分布,発生条件等を知るために1956年2月迄の間に同市内の71ケ所の井戸について環境調査,水質検査及び本種の発生状況を調べた.又発生井戸から採集したものを材料として実験生態学的に本種の狭所交尾性,無吸血産卵性及び発育に及ぼす温度及び累代飼育の影響について研究した.2)井戸の構造,蓋の有無,使用の程度,水表迄の深さ或は水深等の環境要因と本種の発生との間に特殊な関係はなさそうに思われるが,71ケ所の古井
