Description

Dislike of science and losing interest in science has been popular among students. The influence begins to appear in the international comparison investigation concerning children's scholastic attainments. It is very hard to establish a nation of science and technology without improvement of this situation. We have to create enjoyable science classes in schools to make children happy with science. It is a first improvement to create a new science class which teacher and students enjoy together. This study develops a teaching material to understand plant's dyeing in a science class. We varied conditions to extract color from plants and vegetables, and classified the results to develop the teaching material. Many students were very interested in the material and wanted to learn plant's dyeing more, when we tried the material in a science class. The result suggested that the material can be used to organize a science class which student feel natural world is close to them.
