1) In the instance of Ditrema temmincki, there is no difference between the germinal epithelium of the ovigerous fold and that of the inside of the ovarian sheath, and those germinal epitheliums consist of two cell layers. And in the instances of Sebastiscus marmoratus and Sebastes inermis, it is the same as in the case of Ditrema temmincki. 2) The oogonial patches in Ditrema temmincki appear between June and August from the inner cell layer of the germinal epithelium on the ovigerous fold of ovary. As far as Sebastiscus marmoratus and Sebastes inermis are concerned, the position in which the oogonial patch appears is the same as in the case of Ditrema temmincki. The oogonial patches in Sebastiscus marmoratus can be seen in all the year round, but the period in which most plenty of the oogonial patches are found in it, is between February and June and it is the resting period of the ovary in that fish. The oogonial patches in Sebastes inermis appear between April and June and it is after the discharging period of the larvae of that fish. 3) It seems that the large majority of oogonia grow up to be follicle cells, and most of the oocytes which could grow up from the oogonias are resolved and absorbed. 4) The oocytes of Ditrema temmincki originate from the oognial patches which appear in that year. It is the same as in the cases of Sebastiscus marmoratus and Sebastes inermis. After the ovulation in the ovary of Ditrema temmincki there is no oocyte whatever, and the oocytes in nucleous stage, which remain in the ovary of Sebastiscus marmoratus and Sebastes inermis after the discharge of larvae, are resolved and absorbed in the course of about two months.
