本小論は、アブデラマン三世(911年～961年)の寵臣≪ハスダイ・イブン・サプル≫の幾多の卓越した功績と業績をふまえて、中世スペインのイスラム教徒社会におけるユダヤ系住民の社会的地位について考察し、当時としては超人的とも言えるハスデイの働きも究極的にはアラブ支配体制の障壁を突き崩すまでには至らなかった内実を考える。

This short paper examines the social status of the Jews in Al-Andalus through the life of a distinguished Jew named Hasday Ibn Saprut, who served in numerous outstanding ways in the court of Abderraman 3(911-961). By observing various aspects of Hasday's major contributions and achievements, the paper has tried to reveal what the Jews of the time could do and what they couldn't in Al-Andalus due to their ethnic background.
