農用小形うず巻ポンプの性能について, つぎの結果を得た.1.定格回転数付近での供試ポンプの性能は, 最大吐水量(120l/min)以上の吐出量において最も高いポンプ効率を示した.2.ポンプの各回転数(2770rpm, 4000rpm, 5650rpm)におけるポンプ吐出量と揚程, 軸馬力, 回転数との関係は, 各回転数とも, 吐出量の増加に伴ない, 揚程, 回転数は順次減少し, 軸馬力は漸次増加する.3.以上の結果から, 供試ポンプの負荷変動による軸馬力の変動がないので, 原動機の所要馬力もあまり余裕をもたせる必要がなく, 高い効率でのポンプ使用が可能である.

Experiments were performed in order to obtain the data of the characteristics and handling of the baby centrifugal pump that had been most widely used for irrgation, sprinkling, water-supply and pumping in agriculture. Upon examination, the following conclution was obtained: in the case of the constant revolution of pump, it does not show the considerable increase in the shaft horse power of it, though it shows the increase in the discharge of pump. That is to say, the efficiency of the use of prime mover of baby centrifugal pump is high.
