関東ロームの畑地で, 霜柱の生成と融解が, 土壤中の水の運動にどのような影響を及ぼしているかを調べるために, 1976年12月から1977年3月にかけて, 霜柱の生長と土壤水分張力を中心として連続観測を行った.その結果の検討から, 幾つかの問題点と法則性が明らかになりつつあるが, 本報では, まず, 観測のデーターを中心に発表した.

The Effect of Forming and Thawing of Ice Pillar on Soil Water Movement in Kanto Loam. I. Some Remarks on Observational Results. Tatsutaro KONKO. Faculty of Horticulture, Chiba University, Matsudo, Japan. Tech. Bull. Fac. Hort. Chiba Univ., No.25: 49-54, 1977. Observation was continued for a long period from December 1976 to February 1977, to make clear the effect of forming and thawing of ice pillar on water movement in the soil layer. In this paper observational data for fourty successive days are shown with some remarks on them.
