本研究では,子どもの母親へのアタッチメント安定性と夫婦関係との関連が,休日の父子接触時間の長短によってどのように異なるかを検討した。対象は,夫婦関係及び父子接触時間に関する調査に参加した生後6,7カ月齢児を持つ母親124名のうち,およそ1年後(子どもが1歳半～2歳時)に,アタッチメントQソート法を用いた子どもの母親へのアタッチメント安定性に関する調査に参加した母子65組である。分析の結果,父子接触時間が短い群(S群)では,子どものアタッチメント安定性と夫婦関係との間に有意な関連が示され,父子接触時間が長い群(L群)では,有意な関連は示されなかった。この結果は,S群の子どものアタッチメント安定性は母親の養育行動(母親の養育行動は夫婦関係の影響を受けやすい)の影響を集中的に受けること,L群の子どもは母親の養育行動のみならず父親の養育行動からの影響も受けていることによると考えられる。

The purpose of this study was to consider how the relation between the mother-child attachment and the marital relationship differed from the father-child contact time in holiday (short- or long-group). Participants were 65 mothers and their children (18 to 24 months old) among 124 mothers with 6- or 7-month-old children who had participated in the questionnaires research on the marital relationship and father-child contact time about a year before this study. The children were evaluated their attachment with Attachment Q-sort. Results showed that the child attachment and marital relationship in short-group correlated positively. In long-group, however, there were no such correlations. These findings suggested that the child attachment in short-group was affected mainly by the maternal sensitivity, which had been demonstrated to be influenced by marital relationship.
