本論文では、「わたしのために」句を手掛かりにして、共観福音書におけるイエスに従う者への報いの言葉の起源を考察する。それらは、イエス自身に遡り得るか、初代教会の創作であるか、あるいは福音書記者自身の創作であるかを検討する。考察の結果、イエスのために命(`ψυχή')を失う者はそれを得る、という言葉については、イエス自身に帰され得る可能性が高いことが分かった。この言葉は元々単独の伝承であった可能性が高い。また、「永遠の命(`ζωὴ αἰώνιός')を受ける」という言葉自体は伝承史的には二次的なものであるが、イエスのために命を失う者はそれ得る、という言葉との関係から、イエス自身の言葉に由来する可能性があることが分かった。イエスのために命を失う者はそれ得る、という言葉は、現在それが置かれたコンテクストにおいては明らかに終末との関係で語られている。この言葉自体に終末論的な方向性がある可能性がある。それゆえ、「永遠の命」と結び付いたのかもしれない。報いの言葉は、これら以外は、総じて初代教会が創作した伝承に帰され得る。福音書記者自身が創作したものはなかった。今回の考察では、イエス自身が持っていなかった報いの思想を、初代教会が創作したわけではおそらくないということが分かった。

The purpose of this paper is to examine the origin of Jesus'sayings concerning reward to those who follow him in the Synoptic Gospels.It has turned out as a result of this examination that probably Jesus'saying`those who lose their life for my sake will find it'or its variants would be able to be ascribed to himself.It is very likely that this saying was originally a single tradition.The expression`receive eternal life'is to be regarded as secondary in terms of tradition history,and it would be difficult to ascribe it to Jesus himself as it is.However,this expression is closely related to the above-mentioned saying of Jesus.In the present context this saying is used in the light of the eschaton.Since it probably has an eschatological connotation in itself,it may be connected with`eternal life'.Jesus'sayings regarding reward except for those mentioned above can all be attributed to the early church.There seems to be none that each evangelist has created.This study has shown that probably the early church did not arbitrarily create the sayings concerning reward that Jesus himself had not mentioned.
