Description

The main theme of our laboratory is "Creating Surfaces" and we are working on the fabrication of highly functional material coatings deposited with light elements, such as Boron, Carbon and Nitrogen. With a particular focus on practical applications, the laboratory aims to develop technologies to improve mechanical coating properties, i.e., highly functional surfaces with excellent tribological properties. We are particularly focusing on the structural control of DLC, a carbon-based material, and are conducting research to realize control in the nano-level structures, and also aiming at the expression of novel properties.
