Recently, Personnel Management (PM) is coming to be called Human Resource Management (HRM). There is the human resources approach in the basis of HRM. The human resource approach was criticized, saying that "respect for human life and dignity" or "humanism" before, but it is losing the look now. This paper surveys behavioral science and Knowledge Work Theory which formed the basis of the evaluation of "respect for human life and dignity" for the human resource approach, and thinks about the reason why "respect for human life and dignity" was lost in the human resource approach.
