Description

This paper transcripts the full text and introduces the bibliographic information of Kanji-Raigensetsu by KAMOCHI Masazumi, owned by NAGASAKI Shokyo the Chief Priest of Kongo-Fukuji Temple . The main thrust of the book is to assert that Japanese language conjugation make it possible to say many things with a few syllables, therefore there was no need to have a unique characters. Though it has many assertions difficult to agree with by todayʼs academic standards, it can be appreciated as a material that shows the understanding of Japanese language and Chinese characters by the Kokugaku in the Late Edo Period.
