Description

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the learning of the attainment goals and the sense of fulfillment in practice following the change to on-campus practice due to the impact of COVID-19 and to obtain suggestions for possible alternative practice in the future. The research method consisted of a questionnaire administered to 53 third-year students who completed home health care nursing practice in 2020, and a content analysis of the free-response statements was conducted. The results were analyzed for the 47 students who responded to the questionnaire, and three categories were extracted: [learning in accordance with training goals], [learning environment for students], and [expansion of nursing interests and sense of achievement], which consisted of 9 subcategories and 52 codes. In addition, it is necessary to ensure an adequate learning environment for students, which is linked to the achievement of the training goals. In addition, it was suggested that [expansion of nursing interests and a sense of accomplishment] led to the discovery of their own issues and motivation to practice in a different area next time, as they gained a sense of fulfillment from the training.
