Abstract

In the field of social welfare, accessibility issues need to be considered from two directions: (1) access to services from people in need, and (2) access from service providers to people in need of assistance. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of elementary and junior high school students who use children's hall in Ehime Prefecture about the actual state of children's accessibility to social resources. The results of the survey suggest that there may be challenges in accessing services from children in need of support. First, awareness of their own needs is polarized, with only half of elementary and junior high school students becoming aware of their own needs. Second, when there is awareness of needs, the topics are wide-ranging, and one child is aware of multiple needs. Thirdly depending on the grade level, the number of counselors expands from mothers and fathers to friends and SNS. In the case of children, access from service providers to those in need is important, but it is necessary to respond to these truth.
