In our country, buildings are often demolished before their physical useful life due to social, economic, and institutional conditions. A typical challenge in the conservation and utilization of those modern and contemporary buildings is how to balance the cultural heritage value of the buildings with their architectural performance. The ultimate goal of this research is to present a new perspective on the balance between conservation and utilization, and to present a methodology for the future restoration and succession of modern and contemporary buildings, including not only cultural properties and historical buildings but also general architecture. This research is still ongoing and has not been fully summarized. Therefore, this report focuses on the information on the profession of inheriting modern and contemporary historical buildings from information disseminated by professional groups, based on the results of the practical research that the author has conducted up to now. I hope that somehow the landscape we usually see will be enriched and society will be more prosperous.
