Description

The main purpose of this investigation was to compare the factor results (i. e. eigenvalues, principal factor solutions and varimax rotated factor solutions) when parallel analyses were carried out on the same data using phi coefficients and tetrachoric correlation coefficients. Arithmetic achievement tests on the conception of number and calculation were factor analized by the two methods. The main results of this investigation showed that the main five factors from the two different methods were very similar in terms of their having highly correlation coefficients each other.
