Description

A new species of oribatid mites, Peloribats haramachiensis sp. n., is described from Kamimachi Bog in Haramachi City, northwestern Japan. The new species is characterized by long and whip-like motogastral setae, pointed rostrum and poorly developed bothridial scales.
