Infuser pumps are used for the continuous administration of fluorouracil, primarily in the chemotherapy of gastrointestinal cancers. Currently, 5 products are available in Japan；however, their operability during filling has not been verified. This study investigated the superior operability of various infuser pumps. We measured the filling pressure and time during the chemical filling process. The maximum filling pressure and time were recorded, and the total filling pressure and total filling pressure/time were calculated from these values. The results indicated that the Toray Medical Refuser type T［150 mL］was the easiest to operate when filled with chemicals compared with the other 4 products across all measured parameters. Therefore, the Toray Medical Refuser type T［150 mL］should be considered first for its convenience in the filling process.
