Description

In Japan's medical settings for foreign patients, "language barriers" and "cultural differences" are significant challenges shared not only by Japanese staff but also among foreign healthcare workers and foreign patients. To address this issue, this study proposes the step-by-step integration of "Japanese language used in medical settings" and "items related to cultural backgrounds" into Japanese textbooks ranging from beginner to advanced levels. By doing so, it aims to contribute to the improvement of Japanese language education in medical contexts.
