Description
[Abstract] This paper reviews Field Guide to the Patchy Anthropocene: The New Nature (2024), published by Stanford University Press and authored by Tsing, A.L., Deger, J., Saxena, A. K., and Zhou, F. In the first section, I outline the main arguments presented in the book. The second section features two digital projects—Feral Atlas, which captures Anthropocene phenomena through multiple forms of knowledge based on field research conducted in the patches of the Anthropocene, and an audiovisual essay based on the Yolŋu people's practice of tuning in to what the sea will tell them. By focusing on these projects, I examine how multiple forms of knowledge are interwoven to generate collaborative ways of knowing.
