<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>New polymeric oxovanadium(V) complexes with tetradentate Schiff base ligands, [VO(Xsalen)]SbF6 (H2Xsalen: N,N′-di-Xsalicylidene-1, 2-ethanediamine; X=5-MeO (methoxy) and H ) were prepared from monomeric [VO(Xsalen)(H2O)]NO3·H2O by changing the counter anion. X-Ray crystal structure analysis of [VO(5-MeOsalen)]SbF6 showed that the complex has ···VV=O···VV=O··· chains in the crystals.</jats:p>
