Improvement of transmission characteristics in multilayer dual band filter
Description
This paper first simplify a filter structure optimized by GA. Then the filter structure is modified by introducing slot and stubs, based on magnetic currents at resonant points and transmission zero point. As a result, return loss in two passband regions is suppressed more than 25 dB, and insertion loss in stopband dividing two passbands is suppressed more than 20 dB. Finally, the proposed filter is fabricated, and also its effectiveness is confirmed from comparing the measured results with the numerical ones.
