Visualization system for analyzing regional characteristics of Utstein data

The Japanese Utstein data have overall performance categories that described final patient status. In this study, we calculated the proportion of overall performance categories in each prefecture to find differences in the overall performance categories. We also summarized action times in each prefecture to find differences in response of pre-hospital emergency and rescue teams. Further, we created visualization systems that display information on a map of Japan to intuitively find the difference by regional characteristics. Regional differences existed between Overall PerfomanceCategories and transfer time. Furthermore, by showing data on the Japanese map, regional differences could be better understood.
