<jats:p>The family <jats:italic>Botourmiaviridae</jats:italic> includes viruses infecting plants and filamentous fungi containing a positive-sense, ssRNA genome that can be mono- or multi-segmented. Genera in the family include: <jats:italic>Ourmiavirus</jats:italic> (plant viruses), and <jats:italic>Botoulivirus</jats:italic>, <jats:italic>Magoulivirus</jats:italic> and <jats:italic>Scleroulivirus</jats:italic> (fungal viruses). This is a summary of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) Report on the taxonomy of the family <jats:italic>Botourmiaviridae</jats:italic>, which is available at <jats:ext-link xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" ext-link-type="uri" xlink:href="https://www.ictv.global/report/botourmiaviridae" xlink:type="simple">ictv.global/report/botourmiaviridae</jats:ext-link>.</jats:p>
