<jats:p>Metal-DNA hybrid crystals were demonstrated to be applied to encapsulate macromolecules such as streptavidin protein, Qdot, or Cas9 endonuclease by harnessing the hollow spaces in the crystal lattices and their affinities for the target molecules.</jats:p>
