<jats:p>The Suzuki–Miyaura reaction (the cross-coupling reaction of boronic acids with organic halides catalysed by Pd complexes) has been recognised as a useful synthetic organic reaction that forms a C(sp<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>)–C(sp<jats:sup>2</jats:sup>) bond.</jats:p>
