<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Phthalocyaninatozinc(II) complexes bearing dendritic substituents have been prepared. It was found that their generation number and positions on the phthalocyanine ring caused unusual absorption and emission spectral features.</jats:p>
