Substitution‐Pattern‐ and Counteranion‐Depending Ion‐Pairing Assemblies Based on Electron‐Deficient Porphyrin–Au<sup>III</sup> Complexes

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Porphyrin–Au<jats:sup>III</jats:sup> complexes, which were partially or totally modified with C<jats:sub>6</jats:sub>F<jats:sub>5</jats:sub> at the <jats:italic>meso</jats:italic> positions, were synthesized. The highly electron‐withdrawing substituents induced electron‐deficient states and Lewis acid properties. Single‐crystal X‐ray analysis of the ion pairs revealed ion‐pairing assemblies with characteristics dependent on the number and substitution pattern of the C<jats:sub>6</jats:sub>F<jats:sub>5</jats:sub> units and the geometries of the anions.</jats:p>
