<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Catalytic Henry reactions of aliphatic aldehydes and prochiral nitro compounds were investigated using copper(II) complexes of 14 <jats:italic>C</jats:italic><jats:sub>1</jats:sub>‐symmetrical ligands derived from (1<jats:italic>R</jats:italic>,2<jats:italic>R</jats:italic>)(−)‐diaminocyclohexane. β‐Nitro alcohols with <jats:italic>syn</jats:italic>:<jats:italic>anti</jats:italic> ratios of up to 5.7 and excellent <jats:italic>ee</jats:italic> values for both diastereosimers were obtained.</jats:p>
