Constituents of the essential oil of <i>solidago graminifolia</i> (l.) salisb

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The steam‐distilled essential oil of <jats:italic>Solidago graminifolia</jats:italic> (L.) Salisb. was investigated by GC, GC‐MS and NMR spectroscopy. About eighty components were identified. The main constituents are sabinene (18%), β‐pinene (10%) and β‐phellandrene (23%). Two new compounds, 3‐oxo‐<jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐menth‐1‐en‐7‐al and 8,9‐oxidocadalene, were isolated and characterized by <jats:sup>1</jats:sup>H‐ and <jats:sup>13</jats:sup>C‐NMR spectra.</jats:p>
