<jats:p>Phosphate-solubilizing bacteria are responsible for inorganic P solubilization and organic P mineralization. Elucidating the linkage between phosphate-solubilizing bacterial number and P-cycling-related gene abundance is important to isolate plant-growth-promoting bacteria for agro-ecosystems.</jats:p>
