<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>As a post nanotechnology concept, nanoarchitectonics integrates nanotechnology with the other research fields to create new functional materials from nanounits, where polymer chemistry plays indispensable roles. In this perspective article, we showcase and discuss about recent and past hot examples on polymer synthesis with sequence and/or structure regulations, including one dimensional sequential polymer of man‐made structures and bio‐related structures, multidimensional polymers through supramolecular templating polymerization and polymerization based on crystals and liquid crystals, and covalent organic framework.</jats:p>
