<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The iodine-bridged iodo(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)iron dicarbonyl complex, [(η5-C5Me5)Fe(CO)2I–I]2 (1) has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction method, IR spectroscopy, and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy.</jats:p>
