High-Speed Frequency Stabilization of AlGaAs Semiconductor Laser

<jats:p> The frequency of an AlGaAs semiconductor laser has been stabilized by using a wide-band servo-system (DC-500 kHz) for injection current control. A Fabry-Perot interferometer was used as the frequency reference. The dependence of the resulting frequency stability on the parameters of the servo-system was investigated. The power spectral density <jats:italic>S</jats:italic> <jats:sub>y</jats:sub> of the frequency fluctuations was reduced by two orders of magnitude for 0<<jats:italic>f</jats:italic><200 kHz. </jats:p>
