Synthesis, structures, and electrochemical and optical properties of λ5-phosphinine derivatives functionalized tetrathiafulvalene analogs

Abstract λ5-Phosphinine derivatives functionalized tetrathiafulvalene analogs were successfully synthesized. These molecules have been characterized by X-ray analysis, electrochemical methods, optical absorptions, and fluorescent spectra. The fluorescence of them is dramatically quenched by intramolecular electron transfer from TTF analogs to λ5-phosphinine moiety in the neutral state.
