<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The preceding chapters have described study designs and methods of statistical analysis commonly used in epidemiology. The remaining chapters cover certain other methodologic issues that need to be considered when planning epidemiologic studies. Specifically, Chapter 12 first discusses common methods of sampling used by epidemiologists and then methods of estimating sample size. Chapters 12 through 15 are concerned with issues related to measurement in epidemiologic studies.</jats:p>
