Abstract Various allylic esters of acetoacetic acid undergo rearrangement to give γ,δ-unsaturated methyl ketones in high yields with elimination of carbon dioxide under mild conditions in the presence of catalytic amounts of Pd(OAc) 2 and PPh 3 .
