Abstract

<jats:p>This paper discusses the details of the calculation of the coefficients of shear viscosity and thermal conductivity for a moderately dense fluid of rigid spheres based on a modified Boltzmann equation previously derived. The physical significance of short time smoothing and its effect on the computed transport co-efficients is briefly considered.</jats:p>
