<jats:p> In previous work the authors found the asymptotic expansion of the [Formula: see text]-norm of the solution [Formula: see text] of the strongly damped wave equation [Formula: see text] and also of the [Formula: see text]-norm of the difference between [Formula: see text] and its asymptotic approximation [Formula: see text]. This was done in space dimension [Formula: see text]. In the present work results are extended to the exceptional cases [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. This extension is achieved by deriving new lemmas on the asymptotic expansion of some parameter dependent integrals. </jats:p>
