説明
This paper describes a now method of measuring the transfer function of a system. It is shown how a phase variable representation of the system can lie used to calculate the system parameters from the input and output signals. The use of phase variables to describe a control system is simple, and hence much work has boon done with this particular co-ordinate system. The phase variables used in this paper consist of the system output and the n derivatives of the output and derivatives of the input. Phase variables are, in general, not real physical variables and therefore are not available for measurement. However, gaussian pulses possess derivatives and in this case the variables are measurable using the gaussian pulse signals. The method can be easily applied to systems with white observation noise by using the cross-correlation functions of the gaussian signals and output response. In addition, M-sequence gaussian signals are proposed and applying them to system parameter measurement is considered, usin...
