<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p><jats:bold>A (fluor)ry of activity</jats:bold>: The transfer of an intact trifluoromethyl group from a hypervalent iodine reagent to an aliphatic alcohol occurs smoothly upon activation by zinc bis(triflimide).
