<p>The beating heart-on-a-chip (i) generates 3D cardiac constructs with well-defined geometries from cell-laden hydrogel prepolymers, (ii) provides uniaxial cyclic mechanical stimulation, (iii) allows efficient delivery of drugs and chemicals.</p>
