説明

The Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) aims to provide inter-operable communications with wide range of networks which can have poor performance characteristics. In this paper, we investigate the performance of epidemic routing protocol of Vehicular DTN under urban environment. The simulations for two scenarios are conducted considering obstacles (buildings). We consider 802.11p standard and send bundle messages in a Manhattan grid scenario and in a realistic scenario of Tenjin area in Fukuoka city imported from open street map. We use end-to-end delay, number of received packets and storage usage as evaluation metrics. Based on simulation results, we noticed that for Vehicle-to-Vehicle with Manhattan grid (V2V-MG) the bundle messages arrives at the end-point for short lifetime and satisfy the application demands. In order to send information in V2V at Tenjin (V2V-Tenjin), the lifetime should be 5 min.
